Seven Days of Healthy Crockpot Recipes AND Halloween Treats!
Last week, I held a Hallow-clean Eating Group on Facebook full of healthy crockpot recipes and healthy(ier) swaps for Halloween treats. This time of year is always rough for people because it’s considered socially unacceptable NOT to eat your weight in candy and pies for three whole months.
We’re a strange, strange society, aren’t we?
To help combat that, I came up with some fun treats for the whole family and a weeks’ worth of easy-to-prep meals for this busy time of year.
Rather than hoard these, I wanted to share them with all of you!
Crockpot Recipes
Recipes for Chicken Tortilla Soup, Qdoba Naked Burrito, Honey Apple Pork Tenderloin, Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas, Stuffed Peppers, Cajun Chicken Soup, and Balsamic Pork Roast were provided. I spiced up the Qdoba Burrito Bowls with extra seasoning, and a few participants added shredded cheese. I also added carrots and mushrooms to the Balsamic Pork Roast to give it some added depth.
Halloween Treats
Candy Corn Parfait, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, Pumpkin Cupcakes, Apple Nachos, and Superfood Chocolate Bar seemed like perfect additions to the holiday festivities.
And yes. I LOVE pumpkin!
Do you have a favorite healthy crockpot recipe for fall your family loves? Share it in the comments!
So, I was about to sit down to work on next week’s menu and I think you just did all the work for me. Lol These recipes look great. I’m especially excited about the burrito.
Add a little shredded cheese for some extra flavor!
Great recipes! I agree that the holidays are tough for keeping healthy habits . Halloween has already derailed me a bit but I’m definitely going to course correct.
I’ll be publishing a series of recipes for Thanksgiving as well for just that reason!
All of those dinners sound delicious. I’m always looking for more slow cooker recipes – going to bookmark for post-holiday meal planning!
They make life just a little easier, don’t they?
Hi Jackie – I like the convenience of using a crockpot – but I don’t actually use mine very often except to make shredded pork or chicken. I have a nice spicy rub I use that my husband really likes and we use the meet for tacos or enchiladas (generally without the tortillas as I try to keep us low carb). Anyway, your recipes look really easy, which is a great plus in this busy world!
Your body loooves carbs, and many of them are really good for you! Don’t be afraid to eat them. 🙂
Some interesting recipes
Indeed!
I am thinking I just found my menu for the week this is great. Thanks
Oh I can’t wait to try some of these! Just a few tweaks to make them keto-friendly, which I always appreciate. 😀
These recipes look good. I love my crockpot and now I have more ideas to add to my menu
I have the hardest time coming up with dinner ideas. I think we eat the same things every week. Some great ideas I’m going to try.
Duuuude! That Candy Corn Fruit Parfait looks sooooo good. We just replaced out crockpot and this looks like a great thing to christen it with!
