23 Easy Air Fryer Recipes for Back to School

Using an air fryer is my new obsession. You can cook almost anything with a little avocado oil (or olive oil) and Everything Bagel Seasoning. Several times a month, I toss either a bag of Brussel sprouts or assorted chopped veggies in at 400 for 14 minutes. The family LOVES IT!

Love bacon but hate dodging hot splashes of grease? Toss it in for the same time. It is perfectly crispy! Reduce the time a bit if you don’t like it as crispy as I do. 🙂 BONUS: cook the bacon FIRST then cook the vegetables with the bacon grease still in the air fryer. Delicious!

Not only is using an air fryer super easy and a quick way to cook a delicious meal, but it also helps make the meal healthier!

The oils used to traditionally fry foods is full of trans fat which has been shown to increase your “bad” cholesterol and decrease your “good” cholesterol which increases your risk of heart disease. Even oils with a lower amount of trans fat still have 9 calories per gram of oil, so just 1 Tbsp of oil adds about 120 calories to the dish.

I don’t know how YOU fry foods, but I DEFINITELY use more than a Tbsp of oil when I fry foods!

I will give this one bit of caution: be patient with the air fryer. Don’t overload it especially with chicken. Not that I’ve ever had it smoke up my house and set off my smoke alarm because I foolishly filled that bad boy up to the brim with chicken or anything…nope…not at all…

Below are some easy recipes to get you started on your air fryer journey! What are some of your favorites?? What foods would you like to see air fried that aren’t listed??
