ARC Review: Mother Faker by Brittanée Nicole

ARC Review: Mother Faker by Brittanée Nicole

We’re first introduced to Beckett, our MMC, in Revenge Era. His brothers all give him guff for being in love with his assistant who happens to be married.

When Mother Faker begins, this is no longer the case. Olivia, our FMC, is a freshly divorced single mom who lives with three of her best friends and THEIR kids in a Mom Com – a mom commune. She still works for Beckett and is obviously the glue that holds his professional life together.

A series of unfortunate – and hilarious – events leads to Beckett needing to save his reputation by proving that he doesn’t hate kids. Who better to help him than the single mom he’s been lusting after for a decade??

Mother Faker made me laugh, cry, and squirm in the best of ways! Liv and her friends embody everything that makes a mom a mom.

“That’s all we really get as mothers. Moments. We spend the vast majority of our waking hours running or yelling or scrambling or failing.”

I felt SEEN after reading this! I’ve felt insecure with my post-baby body like Liv, angry at men like Delia, paranoid of what could go wrong like Shay, and unhinged like Dylan.

And Beckett…oh my stars. That man had it BAD. There’s an extended epilogue that will make you tear up, and every scene he’s in in the book itself will have you smiling like an idiot. He’s supportive, protective, pulls out the “my wife” goodness, and lets NO ONE – not even Liv herself – speak poorly of the woman he loves.

Mother Faker is a must-read for fans of friends-to-lovers, single moms, women supporting women, men who aren’t afraid of their feelings, and fans of found family!

Thank you, Brittanée Nicole and The Author Agency, for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
