80 Day Obsession Phase 2 Progress Photos

Tomorrow marks the first day of Phase 3 of 80 Day Obsession. When we started this program on January 15th, I had no idea how much my body and my mind would truly change. I feel more focused, organized, and in-tune with what I need to do to be a healthier me.

The picture on the left is from January 14th and the one on the right is from March 11th. There’s only a six pound difference between the two photos, but it looks like so much more because of the lean muscle I’ve built over the past two months. The scale doesn’t tell the whole story. It’s important to understand that just because the number isn’t going down, that doesn’t mean you aren’t losing fat. Fat is getting burned off, but it’s being replaced with awesome, strong muscle.

It hasn’t been easy. Cutting out pizza, beer, and late-night ice cream binges was the biggest adjustment. Working out for close to an hour a day is a close second. I’m confident now that, when the program is over, I’ll be able to introduce those foods back in without the binge behaviors. In the meantime, I’ll keep chowing down on some of the delicious recipes I’ve created along the way.

Thank you fro sharing! Your re so bold to put pictures up of the before and after, something that I don’t have the courage to do. I am currently done with day 8 out of 60 on changing my daily routine to include some sort of daily physical activity and now its becoming a habit but at first, ahh it was a struggle. Like you I only lost a few pounds during my first 30 days of getting into fitness but I can see the muscle growing! Keep it up, you’re encouraging me to keep going.

Nice job on your progress so far. I think, as you’ve pointed out, it’s really important for people to know the difference between muscle and fat. In my weight loss journey, it has been frustrating to not see progress reflected on the scale even when I feel I’m giving so much effort.
