LIIFT4 Is Coming Soon!
Busy people of the world rejoice! No, we haven’t discovered a way to make ice cream calorie-free…yet. This news is nonetheless exciting for those of you who’ve struggled with the longer, more involved workout programs, don’t have the time to make it to the gym, or have been looking for a more old-school lifting program.
LIIFT4 is coming soon! Created by Joel Freeman, this program will only take four a days a week, 40 minutes max. The best part? You mold this program around your life, not the other way around.
What is LIIFT4?
LIIFT4 is an efficient, no-nonsense 8-week program that combines weightlifting and calorie-burning High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with the nutrition and supplements needed for a complete body transformation. The moves are based on classic lifting techniques that let you isolate, stabilize, and focus each rep on the muscle group you’re working. You work out just 4 days a week, with 3 strategically chosen recovery days. Every workout is 30–40 minutes and ends with a quick core routine. There are no gimmicky moves, no overly complicated routines, and no opportunity for boredom because you’ll do all 32 workouts of the program in real time with Joel and the cast—never doing the same workout twice.
Who is Joel Freeman?
The creator of LIIFT4 and co-creator of CORE DE FORCE®, Joel is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Behavior Change Specialist. He also holds certifications from the American Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). His greatest passion is helping people fall in love with fitness and reach their highest potential.
What makes LIIFT4 unique?
The cornerstone of LIIFT 4 is success in simplicity. Because you’re only working out 4 days a week—you’ll be able to live your life. The rest days are strategic—they allow you to recover so you’ll have more strength and energy to bring to each workout. Plus, you’ll be ramping up our nutrition and supplement game—even getting an optional nutritional “cheat day” that helps keep you motivated and committed.
Each workout is structured to keep your heart rate up, through tempo lifting and timed HIIT intervals, to help maximize calorie burn and targeted muscle-building. This program is designed to work smart, giving you maximum efficiency and hitting your entire body in just 4 workouts a week. The 3 recovery days give muscles time to rest so you can push harder, lift heavier, and get better results faster.
There are two phases for maximum results. For the first 6 weeks, you will build, strengthen, and define your body, followed by 2 weeks to burn through calories and fat, revealing your ultimate physique. And since a hardworking body needs fuel, the LIIFT4 Program & Nutrition Guide lays out everything you’ll need to help your body get maximum results—including how to incorporate Shakeology® and Beachbody Performance™ supplements into your routine.
Also included in the program is a bandifier workout with resistance bands for people who don’t have access to free weights.
What if I don’t want to get bulky?
Joel covers this extremely well in his video, Lifting Myths, seen below. When I first started lifting, I had people tell me I was going to get bulky or boxy. As a woman, I don’t have the testosterone levels necessary for those shapes.
Don’t be afraid to lift, ladies. You’ll be surprised how much you enjoy it.
When can I access LIIFT4?
LIIFT4 is the first program to be released with VIP Early Access, so there are two answers to this question.
October 1
All subscribers to Beachbody on Demand will be able to access LIIFT4 on October 1st. Completion and Accessory Packages will be available in conjunction with the program, but there are no additional fees to access LIIFT4 itself.
July 16
VIP Early Access will be granted on July 16th. In addition to the Completion and Accessory Packages available to existing BOD subscribers, there will be Challenge Packages for LIIFT4 to give people even more of a value.
VIP Early Access? Is Beachbody just trying to get more money out of me?
It’s an unfortunate fact that many of our minds automatically jump to this conclusion. I’ve seen comments accusing Beachbody of nickle-and-diming their members by asking them to pay for early access.
Look at it this way: the early access is like seeing a movie in a theatre versus waiting for it to be released on cable. It’s a perk, but isn’t mandatory.
Other important dates
On June 4th, there will be a sample workout available on BOD that everyone can access – even people without a BOD subscription. It’s a completely unique workout in the style of LIIFT4, but isn’t part of the program itself. Joel calls it a fitfomercial which is pretty adorable.
All packages for the program will be available on June 11th including the VIP Early Access. This will give people time to get their materials and prepare for the release on July 16th.
The coach test group also opens on June 11th. That’s right, coaches will be able to join Joel in a group on Facebook and work side-by-side with him through the program. New coaches who sign up with the program will be allowed to join the group as well.
What’s included with the program?
- 32 – Unique Workouts
- 2 – Recovery Day Stretch Routines
- Program and Nutrition Guide (Vegan Plan Included)
- Workout Calendar
- Weight Progression Tracker
- Instructional Video on Lifting
- Supplemental Videos
How do I sign up?
There are three Challenge Packages, three Completion Packages, and three Accessory Bundles available. What they come with and pricing is discussed here. Challenge groups will be available for both the July and October launches.
