Drool-worthy Thanksgiving Recipes the Whole Family Will Love

This is the time of year when people either buckle down and spurn holiday goodies or dive head-first into gluttonous (but delicious) Thanksgiving recipes with no plans of coming up for air until January.

I’m challenging you to kick BOTH of those ideas straight in the gizzard.

There’s absolutely NO reason to abstain from delicious holiday food during a normal year let alone during 2020. Whether you’re staying home or visiting family, you can AND SHOULD enjoy your favorite foods!

You can do so, though, with a healthy flair. Small tweaks to your favorite Thanksgiving recipes will go a long way. So will small tweaks to your mindset.

A few things to consider when you’re staring at the never-ending buffet of edible delights:

  1. There is no such thing as bad food. If you want to eat it, eat it.
  2. You don’t have to take a huge helping. Start small and sample each of the foods you love.
  3. Seconds aren’t mandatory. If you finish your first plate and are still hungry, wait 15 minutes to let your body digest what you just provided it. Your brain may not have received the signal that you’re full yet.

Now on to the recipes! I’ve compiled a list of healthy – and delicious – treats for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner AND some ideas of what to do with leftovers.
